Join us at the second Rural Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Congress on May 28 for a full-day, pre-conference workshop dedicated to enhancing proficiency in POCUS use.

What to Expect

Our goal is to provide learners with an opportunity to increase confidence in their POCUS skills and make meaningful connections through the shared spark and passion for innovation within the POCUS community.

This event is intended for POCUS users at any skill level, from beginner to advanced.

  • Registration Fee for Physicians & Specialists: $1200 + tax 

    Registration Fee for Residents/NPs: $600 + tax 

    Registration Fee for Midwives/Medical Students: $300 + tax  

    Please email the UBC CPD House team at cpd.house@ubc.ca for the Resident/ NP/ Midwife/ Medical student discount code. 

    Registrants of the Rural POCUS Congress get an exclusive 10% off BC RHC registration (applies only to the Physician/NP rate and excludes add-ons). The discount code will be emailed to you once BC RHC registration opens.

  • Registration includes access to all lectures and materials, scanning time, and lunch.

    Attendees are invited to stay for the post-congress reception at 5pm.

  • The Division of Continuing Professional Development, University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine (UBC CPD) is fully accredited by the Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (CACME) to provide CPD credits for physicians. This activity meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 5.5 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits. Each physician should claim only those credits accrued through participation in the activity.

  • This event will be held at the same venue as the BC Rural Health Conference, Prince George Conference Centre.

Model Recruitment

Are you travelling to BC RHC with family, or know folks who would be interested in being a patient model for the Rural POCUS Congress?

We are currently looking for patient models with no known findings, including adults and pediatric models (8-12 years old). Models will receive a $150 honorarium for the day, plus lunch, snacks and beverages.
